Day Camp

EXISTING CUSTOMERS- approved for Day Camp- while we are in our busy travel season (March, April, May, June, July, August, September)- Day Camp will be available Monday-Thursday. We are limited on Day Camp on Fridays. 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS- Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming appointments MUST be received before 5:00pm the previous night.

NEW CUSTOMERS- call us to check for availability, receive the NEW CLIENT FORM, and have your pet complete ORIENTATION to become an EXISTING CUSTOMER- 478-994-7387.  We look forward to meeting you soon!

Happy Campers Pet Lodge has two options for Day Camp:

• GROUP PLAY Day Camp in the GROUP Daycare room (Day Camp Jr., Day Camp)- must be approved for Group Play.

• Day Camp in a Room (DayStay)- this is an excellent option for dogs who are not eligible for GROUP PLAY, but owners need their pets cared for during the day- it does not include overnight boarding. Dogs will have a reservation in a room for the day- indoor/outdoor and play yard time with a friend, family members, and staff member. This is based on the availability of rooms and will not apply to fully booked weekends and holidays.

Group Play is NOT training for pets to learn socialization. Group Play is for pets that already know how to socialize. If your pet does not have these skills, we recommend TRAINING to help your pet learn these skills as well as basic commands needed for group play. Refer to our TRAINING tab. Even though we try everything possible for your pet to socialize with others, please remember that not all dogs are suited for play with others or GROUP PLAY in the GROUP Daycare room. We reserve the right to refuse those from GROUP PLAY if they are pushy, play rough, mouthy, bark excessively, or hump their friends. We will be happy to look at alternative daycare options other than group play- such as Day Camp in a suite with a patio (depending on availability).

GROUP PLAY Eligibility:  Dogs have to be APPROVED by us for GROUP PLAY in the GROUP Daycare room. If your dog has not participated in group play with us before, please call the office at 478-994-7387 to schedule CAMP ORIENTATION (TEST DAY). ORIENTATION for Group Play are a one-time fee of $40. Dogs will have a reservation in a room before they are put directly into a group situation. Some pets adjust quickly and can be placed in the GROUP PLAY daycare room; some take multiple attempts, and some are NOT suited for GROUP PLAY.

1. For Group Play- dogs must be SPAYED/NEUTERED.
2. The dog must be aware of the handler/person in the room to recognize body language and basic commands.     
3. The dog must be able to read the other dogs in the group to know when to play and when not to.
4. Having an off switch to relax and enjoy downtime as well as playtime.
5. Being respectful of their playmates.
6. Having the ability to share toys without being possessive.
7. Being able to share handler/person in the room without jealousy.
8. All dogs bark at one time or another, but excessive barking will not be allowed.
9. Pets must exhibit a balanced nature without extreme anxiety or fearfulness.
10. Dogs may not have any aggressive tendencies. Some dogs may be OK making new friends when away from home, so we ask that you let us be the deciding factor.
11. Dogs that have been in a dog fight may NOT attend group daycare.
